Get Well Soon Tom
I’ve never met Tom, but he has been one of the greatest influences in my work & life. Tom is a friend, Tom is a mentor & Tom is a hero. Tom isn’t well these days and I wish him the speediest recovery. Tom was kind enough to write this wonderful article last year:http://vsual.co/2011/09/building-a-life-in-graphic-design-tom-morin/
He also has authored a book titled ‘Threads of Influence’, more about it here: http://vsual.co/2011/08/threads-of-influence-tom-morin/
You can post your ‘get well soon’ messages below and I’ll send a big fat card on everybody’s behalf.

Reverse-psychology tips for graphic designers
Randomly stroll into your client’s office. Let’s suppose your client runs a restaurant. Begin the conversation with, “I’d like to taste some Italian White Alba Truffle”… before your client can get over with the shock of your obnoxious behaviour, rudely interrupt by saying, “And yeah I’m on a very tight budget”, before the client has a chance to speak, say, “But I assure you I have bigger plans and my family & friends will probably eat at your fine dining place”. Now gently tap the client on the shoulder and say, “Once we have the truffle out of the way, we could start with the main course.”
